i wanted to go to new york this coming saturday to scout fic locations, but apparently i have a dentist's appointment in the morning. >.< so no new york for me. and no new york until at least december, so i can spend all my november weekends nano-ing

apparently franklin really was a nudist! which gave me a slight amount of weird respect for the sleepy hollow research team. (which is probably one person looking stuff up in their off hours.) and i do kind of like ichabod's washington fanboying and how vocally irritated he gets when he discovers we're remembering his history wrong. but he knows all about the seminole and the iroquois and crazy chinese mystical shit and yoga traditions and just, dude, STOP. the rodent headwear comment was cute, tho. i need to learn to just shut up and accept it because it's totally name-dropping in jokes and the ptb aren't taking it seriously, so why am i.

they seem to be setting up abbie/jenny conflict over hawley - he wants abbie, jenny wants him, jenny is no doubt going to get jealous and pissy at her sister - which is stupid and lazy and predictable and boring. i mean, in addition to the fact that his and ichabod's bickering looks like they're fighting over abbie. (who is just SO DONE with that.) i don't think he's there as cannon fodder but i could be wrong. they're certainly giving us enough of him to make us care about him, tho.

yeah, the thing with the soul doesn't make any sense. altho this is sleepy hollow, and a lot of it doesn't make any sense.
