i got to be one with my desk at work again! and then i thought about nano.
coworker d was out today so the new admin sat at reception so i could sit at my own desk again. (yay!) and then i had to print and bind a shit-ton of reports. (nineteen copies, twenty-four copies, eighty-nine copies. EIGHTY-NINE. which may or may not sound like much, but they took about an hour just to print, and then it was time to go home.) while i was binding i thought about this year's nanonovel, which is going to be the friar and the heretic and i am going to make everything up (altho maybe not the names) and it will be fabulous and freeing. the friar wanders into a sunday school type class when the woman teaching it is telling the kids creation stories, specifically when god created the rabbit, and she steals shamelessly from watership down - "all the world will be your enemy, prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. but first they must catch you." (and that's why rabbits have tall ears and strong back legs.) i feel like i should apologize to the ghost of richard adams.
it was nice to be back at my desk, even if i did spend half the day babysitting the copy machine or standing around binding.
oh, and i finally booked a flight to wincon. woot. :D and paid my curling dues, so when sign-ups open in a couple days i can actually sign up for a league. (why yes, it is almost curling season. gird yourselves.)

and in the news of the weird, a man died in a sperm bank after his fourth donation in ten days. it happened in 2012 so i'm not sure why the article makes it sound like it just happened yesterday. but still, dead of a heart attack due to excessive masturbation.
