it was hot today! like we had two weeks of spring and then went spang into summer! i can't be having with this 80º shit.
also my sandals gave me blisters on both feet. >.< on the other hand, i got in a nice walk and acquired some comics and had the occasional writing thought which i have now completely forgotten. yeesh. and i may or may not have rented the architect for sebastian stan's fucking pretty face, and it also has isabella rossellini and viola davis and walton goggins, so even if it's a terrible movie (and it might be a terrible movie - it's a short movie) at least the actors will be worth watching.
and also, there's a possibility sebstan gets to kiss a boy.
my windows are open and i still have flannel on my bed. in some world this makes sense.
so wisconsin's ban on same-sex marriage was struck down as unconstitutional, altho apparently it's still in effect, altho i don't think for long, and in any case
a whole bunch of couples rushed to get married. and a bunch of officials showed up to marry them! which i think is the coolest thing.
mark ruffalo on a unicycle. this man is a treasure, seriously.
second-to-last self-promo:
6. Something for a small fandom/pairing/character
we can live beside the ocean, which is a flight of the phoenix au and written for
picfor1000 in a fandom of two.
wrenlet wrote an au called
intercession, in which john and rodney survive and move to portland - this makes more sense if you've seen the movie, in which they both die, john by sandstorm and rodney by gunshot - and then i started writing a post-apocalypse and threw them in a snippet because i am nothing if not wedded to the obscure in-joke. and so we get a fic that exactly two people will understand. and i am ok with that.
