"dinosaurs are reptiles, sir. we do not go in for milk."

What I just finished reading:
fortunately, the milk - words by neil gaiman, illustrations by skottie young - which is adorable and funny and just totally charming. it's full of voices and sound effects and kind of made me wish i had small children to read it to.

What I am reading now:
still jonathan strange and mr norrell, which is taking me forfuckingever because it's kind of densely written and long. but i'm still enjoying it - it has a very dry sense of humor and the story is getting interesting. until jonathan strange showed up i didn't actually like many of the characters, so reading the book was kind of a slog. but now i like enough people to care what they're doing and what's happening to them, so i'm more into it.

What I'm going to read next:
i packed db jackson's thieftaker for wincon because jonathan strange and mr norrell is a spider-whomping size and i don't feel like hauling it through a bunch of airports. also, thieftaker is set in boston. :D

i'm all packed for wincon which means i'm convinced i'm forgetting something except i have no idea what, i've watched criminal minds, and now i have to bake. and figure out how to get my tiny pirate hat to vegas without squashing the feathers.
