today i went up to salem to hang out with jola (one of the few people i know on lj who i knew before lj) and ashbet (who i knew of but didn't really know), and much fun was had. (they were here for the weekend but obviously i couldn't go see them yesterday.) we swam in the hotel pool - i borrowed ashbet's bathingsuit which fit me which was impressive

See and I know of and have friends in common with both of them via the Land of Goth, but have never actually met either of them.

it's a small world after all.... :D i know jola through the land of indie comics. i think i have another friend in common with ashbet - besides ephemera - but i'm not sure who.

Excellent - I am envious that you got to see Ashbet, and that she got to see you. I have good memories of visiting Salem with you and L ;)

we were talking about whitby for some reason and i immediately thought of you (and the raspberry-cream-filled chocolate coffins :D ) so i mentioned you, and ashbet went "ephemera! i know her!" small world. :D

i also had a short flashback to going to the house of the seven gables with you and l, and the three of us giggling at the docent kind of slashing melville and hawthorne. hee.
