i just want to say that everyone in this episode is so. smart. the marshals' plan to fake out theo with the convoy, tim having a hinky feeling and calling colt (and by the way, their conversation was SO MUCH LOVE with so much needling of each other) and figuring out how to get them all from getting sniped (circling the wagons! improvising a molotov cocktail to blow up the car!), boyd knowing exactly where raylan is going to take drew and why, ava getting away from nicky augustine (i hope he dies ugly), bob suggesting rachel and drew escape by train, even colt getting the sniper rifle away from nicky's guy and shooting him.
even constable bob in his goofy-ass it's-so-hard-to-take-him-seriously kind of way was pretty smart in the way he kept raylan's whereabouts secret from yolo and then stabbed the guy in the leg. i cringed a lot while he was getting beat up, tho. i really like bob. and people do underestimate him at their peril.
...i just caught on the second showing that the train actually appears and drew mentions it about halfway thru. the 5:30 coal train.
i love how un-rattled boyd and ava both are in front of nicky. and i love that nicky commented on a. boyd's waistcoat, and b. the way he talks. (coincidentally my favorite things about him. :D ) forty words where four will do, heh. and "do you believe in god?" "i do not." oh, nicky, of all the questions to ask him.
i still don't think johnny has been blessed with an abundance of brains, tho.
however! i have one question: why are the marshals so sure that all they have to do to keep drew safe from theo tonin is to get him out of harlan county? why can't theo's goons just follow them to lexington?
