on the plus side, we have chocolate in the office
charity shop in the uk gets an unexpected donation - ie, a live hedgehog at the bottom of a bag of donated stuffed animals. surprise! one of the women who works in the shop took him home and set him free in her garden and he seemed totally fine.
i should be working, and i kind of am, but actually i should really be printing envelopes so i can send invites for my mom's birthday party next month. i already printed the invites except that the printer fucked up a bunch of them, so i have to buy another box and print replacements tomorrow. and then print envelopes and mail them! at least i already have stamps.
(my boss and the other architect are in new york so i have the office to myself. but i still have work to do that i actually get paid for.)
hawaii five-0 was fine last night - it is still ridiculously good-looking and still makes me want to go to hawaii, but oh my god i forgot how absurd the plots are. AB. SURD. and also kind of stupid. and with an almost gleeful disregard for the laws of physics, anatomy, geography, police procedure, and PLOTTING. i liked the guest stars, tho. and danny and steve are still married. (i hope that doesn't count as a spoiler....)
my ikea furniture got delivered last night so tonight i will unpack and commence building. this excites me. i like flatpack furniture, what can i say. i have an electric screwdriver and i'm not afraid to use it!
this morning while i was lying in bed resolutely not getting up, i had an idea for origfic_bingo, so i can actually do five squares and get a bingo. and yes it will have taken me an entire year but whatever, i take what i can get and at least i'll have finished the challenge. so, you know, yay.
