I reviewed my taxes on Sunday, and committed to them. E-filed federal (first time in years I didn't have a random, "Sorry, you cannot e-file" form), and I've printed out the rest for state. Photocopying today, then I'll attach all the junk and mail that off.
We actually owed money for Federal this year, and are still getting back some from the state. I tinker with the W4s every year trying to get that as close to 0 as possible, but it never lasts. The mutual fund dividends are always the spoilers.
I wish I'd liked Chicago Code better (and that was despite Delroy Lindo being in it!). Mainly, I like whoever not!Trickster is, and that's it. So we watched a streaming ep of S4 Psych instead.
Defiance was good, I thought. It further cemented the obsession of someone on my f-list for Liev Schreiber, too. Write the Oskar/Conrad story! And if you haven't read Briar Rose (which I rec'd a few weeks back), that'll give you inspiration and background (after it totally breaks your heart).
Finish your fic! You can do it! Late nights and keymashing is all (!) it takes. Like I've ever written anything that long. ;)

who's the not!trickster? it took me a few episodes to get into chicago code, but i'll watch anything for billy lush, so i keep giving it another chance. psych was probably much funnier, tho....
there's just too much research involved in oskar and conrad's story, and i'm not convinced it's a story i can actually tell - like, i don't think i'm good enough to do it justice. and briar rose will make me cry! but i don't think you're wrong about it being helpful.
i am all about the late writing nights! and the banging of one's head upon one's keyboard. sadly i am NOT all about getting to the point. >.< which is the problem. i still have a bunch of scenes to do and no idea how to end it. but who knows, i might actually finish by the deadline. it might be the longest thing i've written that's not a nanonovel and didn't take me nine months.
