the problem with my internet connection might actually be a problem with my modem, as my modem is probably eleven years old and apparently that's really old for a cable modem. (who knew!) and since i lease it from my isp, i now have to take it to a comcast store and exchange it for a new one. which i can't do right now since a. i'm currently the only person in the office and can't leave for any length of time, and b. the comcast store is only open from 9-5 anyway, plus they close for lunch from 1-2. maybe i can come in late tomorrow.... i don't like being without internet. it makes me twitchy. how sad is that?

should i suck it up and buy a modem? how much do cable modems cost, anyway? (i threw out my last cable bill after i paid it, so i don't know how much comcast is charging me to lease one.)

kind of enjoyed leverage last night, by which i mean i enjoyed hardison freaking out, parker getting excited about bank security systems, and eliot being cranky at her. the usual. :D also the random geek shout-out, and the use of actual boston street names. (no "boston does not look like that!" moments, altho there was an instance of "right street, wrong part of the map".)

last night's criminal minds reruns were to hell and back (the s4 finale), which i really enjoyed altho they're kind of disgusting ("guys? pigs are omnivores...."). but everybody gets to do stuff and i really like watching the team change the profile when they get more information that shows their first impressions were wrong. and yes, the OMG ending is lessened somewhat when you've seen the episode three times as well as the s5 premiere, but i still half want to go O.O and cover my mouth in shock. good stuff.

leverage, internet woes, criminal minds s4
