i had the mcdonald's filet o' fish commercial stuck in my head ALL DAMN DAY. oddly enough it did not make me want mcdonald's. for one thing, i had a fried fish sammich for lunch yesterday. for another, the filet o' fish is not that exciting as food. i like the commercial, tho. the singing fake fish cracks me up.
lesbian prom couples - SOCUTEOMG. all these teenage lesbian couples in formalwear. sometimes both girls are wearing dresses, sometimes one of them is wearing a tux, and there's at least one pic where both of them are wearing tuxes. so much adorableness, i'm overcome. and check out the couple from 1985.

ww2 on facebook - germany to ussr: comin over to ur place to crash buddy, crazy night. ussr: WTF.... YOU CAN'T SLEEP HERE DUDE!! (and unsurprisingly germany goes home because the ussr likes it cold.... and meanwhile switzerland is baking cookies with its mom. and then the ussr organizes a surprise party at germany's house. and eventually germany deletes its account.)
13. What's your favorite culture to write, fictional or not?
well, there's only one culture i know anything about, and that would be mine. which i guess is white middle-class american culture of the late 20th and early 21st century. oddly enough, that doesn't stray into white middle-class jewish american culture, as apparently i have exactly one-half of a jewish character who i'm remotely likely to write. (alex o'neil. his mom is a member of the tribe. he however was raised as a nice catholic boy, altho technically he is jewish.)
(tonight's cm is a rerun but i feel like sharing the geek twins anyway. imagine me making a smug garciaface when you too get that fish jingle stuck in your head. >:D )
