dancing boys: *conga!*
last night's curling chili was tasty and easy and went over well and there was still a lot left over. i took some home. yum. i watched some of the beginning of the hockey game before curling but missed the end but someone stuck their head out on the ice to tell us what the score was. i also caught some of the closing ceremonies, which i enjoyed. (poor neil young, tho - he's really looking old.) and i got a kick out of the mounties raising the russian flag, just because it seemed kind of incongruous.
canada got the most golds - yay canada - and the us got the most medals - yay us - and i actually got to see curling on my tv. and i watched a lot of sports that weren't figure skating. yay olympics. :D we'll see you in four years.
last night's cm reruns - because i'm having a day of stupid and thinking about cm makes me feel slightly less dumb - were about fifteen minutes of the end of 3rd life ("it's in the eyes") and all of penelope ("you're good." "you're better.") which always makes me cry. i love how much they love each other. *hearts* and i love that hotch and rossi have a shared-brain moment of "we're going to leave this place and let them break some rules where we can't see it" in garcia's apartment. and i love that rossi is so much a member of the team by now that he knows what hotch is doing, he knows why, and he's right there with him.
and i still think garcia should be asking "what does the professor say" instead of "what does the profile say". and also, i really love kevin. i love that he and garcia figure out how to work together - and that they can - without ever having met. (and you can tell how much i love this episode by the fact this is the third time i've posted about it.)
i do not have a lot of faith in my ability to finish my bigbang - i figure i need to write 2000 words a week for the next two months in order to have enough of a story by the rough draft deadline. i'm not actually 100% sure i can do this. i still kind of want to talk to someone about it, like tell them the plot and the cast list and whatever details i have and have them ask story questions and offer suggestions and help me kick my brain into gear. but i don't know how much that would help. but i read my horoscope for march and it seems to suggest that i'm going to have a creatively good month. and that makes me feel better. so who knows.
(i did actually make a bigbang filter, altho you'll notice i haven't used it. *ahem*)
is there any possible way to determine if san antonio was pro-prohibition or "let us have our booze already!" in 1931? like, any possible way that does not require reading an entire book of temperance history? (or asking on
little_details.)
still no snow. hmph.
