this icon is SO APT
one of the contractors we work with sends us three months of harry & david fruit-of-the-month for christmas, and today we got what i guess is february's fruit. usually we get, like, a box of oranges, or pears, or apples and oranges, and once we got plums. but no. this box has two papayas, some bunches of tiny bananas, and a pineapple. (the papayas are nested in shredded paper, and the pineapple is wrapped in a foam sheet.) i cannot get over the pineapple. according to the box, it came from costa rica.
a pineapple. how the hell do you cut up a whole pineapple? all the office knives are plastic. someone's taking that sucker home.
(so far i've had a tiny banana. i mostly like saying "tiny banana".)
shall we talk about tv? let's talk about tv. let's mostly talk about how much i enjoyed last night's new tv. i mean, i even liked spn! for the whole episode! and the guest star made me squee! it managed to be all about the mytharc without being ALL ABOUT THE MYTHARC, and still pulled off a pretty decent motw. it was, uh, quite anvilicious, and yes i know spn is a lot of things but subtle was never one of them, but i think i forgot during the hiatus how OBVIOUS the show usually is. but i still liked it. and holy cow are the boys pretty. O.O altho sam could maybe stand to have a haircut. (this is not a spoiler. this is a FACT.)
so there's that. and then i watched and really enjoyed the new burn notice, and again i squeed over the guest star, and also i may or may not have told the tv once or twice "sam axe, you are SO CUTE" (also fact and not spoiler :D) and i loved the very last conversation between michael and his mom, and also his revelation that he does what he does because people need him. he helps the helpless! and so i squee. :D
and then since usa helpfully reran white collar from tuesday i watched that, and was reduced to squeeful squeaky dolphin noises and attendant flailing. and yes, the guest star got me all excited. the love i have for peter&neal(&elizabeth, and how much do i love that she's clearly an equal partner in peter's life, and well on her way to being an equal partner in neal's life) is HUGE. HUGE, I TELL YOU.
and then i was exhausted from all the fangirling. :D
(i also got chinese takeout for dinner and was kind of disappointed - altho i liked the dumplings, altho i also spilled a lot of dipping sauce on my pants >.< - but we won't discuss that here. this is a post of squee and fruit-related wtf.)
