first, happy late birthdays what i missed to
sunshine95 and
ignipes and
dreamt! have some cake. :D
dancing boys and girls: *flamenco!*
i went to a flamenco performance in seville, so you get flamenco dancers. they're very impressive.
so yeah, i'm home. i'm even mostly mentally here. i won't ask if you missed me because i just want to think that you did. :D my mom and i walked a lot and ate late and walked some more and saw lots of fabulous buildings and the aforementioned flamenco and lots of people walking their dogs and did i mention the buildings? and some ruins. i took a shit-ton of pictures and i'm not just saying that (possibly 1100 photos - that's seven and a half days - altho i haven't looked yet), and i didn't buy anything except postcards, a magnet shaped like a bull, and a little book about the
palau de la música catalana, the concert hall in barcelona, which is gorgeous. and it was sunny every. single. day. i'm cursed in that every time i go somewhere on vacation, i get rained on and there's scaffolding over something i want to see. well, there was definitely scaffolding (and as a bonus, the sagrada familia even had cranes), but NO RAIN. yay. :D it was occasionally kind of cold, tho.
criminal minds fen might be interested to know that in the cathedral in granada, i think in the priests' locker room, there are two (probably 17th or 18th century) english grandfather clocks made by spencer & perkins. you think the good dr reid knows a perkins? :D
basically much fun was had and ham eaten. good times.
so tell me what i missed! international, national, personal, fannish, ficcish, good news, bad news, tv news, whatever. i haven't been online since before i left and haven't read lj since i've been home, which means i know nothing. link me or forever be unread.
