teevee babble (ignore the flail of disgust)

last night's leverage ---> flappy hands of glee
last night's cm ---> flappy hands of OH MY GOD THAT IS DISGUSTING WHY AM I WATCHING THIS

seriously. SO GROSSED OUT. but just by the last five minutes. it was just as bad as the episode with the bread and the plastic wrap, which is STILL so completely appalling that the mere mention of it makes me flail in disgust. ewewewew.

why do i do this to myself?

*gets a grip*

anyway. both excellent episodes, and the rerun of cm leads nicely into the s4 finale and thus the s5 premier, so. they showed a preview for the premier and now i am ALL EXCITED. and annoyed because i'll miss it on account of writing group.

because i've been watching so much s1, it's a little discombobulating how old hotch looks now. he's aged a lot. i do however get a kick out of the fact that he and rossi occasionally call each other by their first names. i really like them as a platonic colleague couple.

leverage was just packed full of hardison and eliot goodness. they're such an old married couple, with the bickering and the hugging (hug it out!) and how fixated eliot was on hardison's potential death. it's adorable. and i love that parker is clearly weirdly socialized in a "you're not like normal people, no really" kind of way - altho she's getting better at staying in character when they're running a con - but man, stick her in front of a safe or give her something to steal and she is totally, totally in her element. professional, inventive, confident, skilled, in control.... and also full of glee. i love it. it makes me so happy. and they all surreptitiously called sophie for advice! without wanting nate to know! how teamy. ^_^

and after the weird-ass "boston" accents on cm, the lack of affected accent on leverage was kind of a relief. so far i haven't had a "boston does not look like that!" moment. (apparently boston looks like portland. who knew?) and of course i love the occasional flyover. they show my bridge at night. :D

also i finally watched true blood from sunday and did anyone else think the dialogue was especially stupid? and the queen of louisiana was kind of boring. (i've never seen evan rachel wood in anything else - can she actually act? should i chalk her performance up to bad directing decisions? she was kinda bland. and yahtzee? really?) but i would totally watch the andy and jason fight crime show. i'm always impressed when jason has a decent idea, altho he tends to ruin the moment with dumbassery. also eric in a dress with a rifle may have short-circuited my brain just a little bit. and i kinda liked the silver-gray suit, and the way he talked about arlene's kids. (just like humans, but smaller.) but i wanted to smack sookie once or twice, and bill was about as boring as ever (altho i did like him wearing a bathingsuit and sunglasses, heee), and i'm a little tired of the maenad-and-possessed-townsfolk storyline.

since when can eric fly? and honestly, is sookie that exciting that he's doing favors for sam just to maybe win her approval? he occasionally seems kind of high schoolish in his attempts to gain her favor. i did however cackle with amusement at bill and eric meeting outside the queen's day room, just for the height differential. heh. and as boring as the queen was, her day room was really nice.

this really has nothing to do with the show and its quality or lack thereof, but sookie's in her, what, mid-twenties, right? because anna paquin's face looks older than she really is. she's not wrinkly or saggy or age-spotted or anything - she probably has very nice skin - but something about her face just looks old. maybe it's the blonde hair, i dunno. or they're using too much powder on her or something.

someday i'll talk about something besides teevee, i promise. i've only made incremental progress on my bigbang and i won't have book pics to share until i buy more paper and i posted fic a couple days ago and i don't think there are any interesting memes going around and my life is currently kind of unexciting and does anyone really care that i need to sweep my house? i don't care, and it's my house. i should really pay my rent, tho....

so, hey, anything you want me to babble about? it's my superpower, you know. :D

leverage, babble is my superpower, true blood, criminal minds s4
