i really liked the different jimmys - he was so full of faith and belief and trust in god in the beginning, and then a year later he couldn't even say grace before dinner. (even tho his wife and daughter were expecting it, which was interesting.) this thing that he probably thought was such an honor - being an angel's vessel, doing god's bidding - turned out to be terrifically destructive for him and his family. i really love that the angels and all the stuff surrounding them is so very NOT sweetness and light, that they can be just as violent and inconsiderate and inhuman as the demons. i love that there's all this unexpected collateral damage that really is genuinely damaging.
i admit to an unkind thought that maybe they'll kill off ruby the end of s4, so even if she does come back in s5 (which i'm not totally opposed to - i still like the idea of her as a demon on the boys' side, even tho she's not really on their side, and i do kind of like that she's using sam for her own ends which seem to be different from everyone else's ends, altho i hate how they're translating that for sam) they can get another actress. because i really don't like genevieve cortese. her ruby seems like a different person than katie cassidy's ruby, and not in a positive way. katie at least had some sass. at least there's only two more episodes of her.
