happy birthday wesleysgirl! mommy, writer, fangirl, friend, and the local lj'er i've known the longest. cake? glitter? will i get to see you this weekend?

i watched the rerun of criminal minds last night, in which george costanza jason alexander was the crazy criminal person, and i just can't take him seriously in a dramatic role. i didn't even watch seinfeld and he'll still always be george costanza to me. plus which, on cm he looked like colonel sanders. >.<
and also? this surprised me, and it really shouldn't have, but spencer using his brilliant, nerdy brain and having a lightbulb moment is incredibly hot. *fans self* i already knew smarts were sexy - why else would rodney mckay have so many fans? and i say this as someone who likes him and thinks david hewlett is adorable - but man, smarts in action totally get my motor going. even when the smarts belong to scrawny, socially weird, dorkily dressed criminal profilers who are more often than not in desperate need of a haircut.
altho i should admit here that "dork" is totally my type....
and also also, nicholas brendon! as garcia's boytype! kinda chubby and geeky and so fucking cute i couldn't even stand it. i may or may not have made squeeful squeaky dolphin noises.
i have zero words to show for findyourwords and am vaguely embarrassed about that, because i do actually have something approaching a story percolating, and i have an idea or two about reconstructing derry belmont's future, so i can give his story some forward motion. (zero_pixel_coun pointed out that he could use a shaking up and she's not wrong.) i have until the end of the day to get something down, at least.
and i read the little blurb on tv guide online for tonight's spn and it sounds kinda cool, if potentially excessively self-reflexive. i'm excited to watch it.
