done with jury duty, thank god. it was an eminent domain case and basically the plaintiffs thought their property was worth way more than the taking agency gave them for it. (and a lot of jurors agreed, but also thought the plaintiffs were asking for too much money.) we decided the plaintiffs were right. it's going to appeal - and if you knew how much the plaintiffs thought they were entitled to you'd appeal too - but i'm done with it. thank god. overall not a horrible experience and i don't mind fulfilling my civic duty, but i'm not sorry i won't have to do it for another three years.
last night i dreamed about jared and jensen who were very clearly jared and jensen, only not actors, slightly younger than they really are, and friends of mine (as well as friends with each other). they were of course very cute. :D also auguris made an appearance - she and i were sitting at a little cafe type table and she was working on her laptop, and when she got up to get something i unplugged her laptop so i could plug mine in. but i had a splitter kind of thing on the end of my laptop's power cord, which she could plug her laptop into as well, so we could both use the outlet after all. which i explained to her when she got back to the table and saw i'd unplugged her laptop. i wasn't being a bitch in my dream, really i wasn't. there were also nice buildings and a campus and a gymnasium that was more like a waiting area and a very, very steep street that in the dream was located in salem but in reality doesn't exist anywhere.
it was an odd dream on reflection but fun when it was happening. and any dream which involves jared and jensen being cute and kind of dorky is good in my book.
bsg series finale tonight! rich the coworker and i have a slight disagreement over who dies and who doesn't - he seems to think the show won't kill off the major players partly because it's not that dark a show. and i pointed out that the whole premise was that they were looking for this mythical beautiful earth and they were going to find it and settle it, and when they DID find it, it was a nuclear wasteland and uninhabitable. so yeah, kind of dark. i have no idea what's actually going to happen, tho, who dies and who lives and whatever. i have kleenex, i'm prepared. :D
this weekend's plans include getting the oil changed in my car, paying bills, and writing something, god dammit.
