on sunday when i was curling i had an idea for a story about a curler - an amateur curler, not, like, a professional, just a guy who belongs to a local league and curls with his friends - which was mostly an idea for the structure of a story about a curler, in which the actual story and plot and dialogue and all was interspersed with bits of curling lore and rules and terminology. and then i wondered if anyone would read it, because in the states at least curling is this weird arcane little sport that no one seems to know anything about.
and now i also want to write a story about a guy who lives in a
vardo. i'd have to do some research into where you pee and how you wash, and where he'd park it and what he'd do for a living, but it could make an interesting story.
add that to the bootlegging brothers and the story about the bank robbers....
