Based on the world's lamest injoke between me and The Artist Formerly Known As Z, after we watched Jarhead (or "Jarcake", as it was inexplicably known in my household). That's my "abject silliness and/or puns" icon, although it needs an overhaul.
Rik Mayal as Lord Flasheart in Blackadder Goes Forth. I <3 Blackadder to an absurd degree, and Flasheart in BGF is a WW1 FLYING ACE, which is pretty much a description of "SEX" as far as I'm concerned. I love his expression there, and I generally love Edwardian language and slang, so the icon stays for moments of mild outrage.
You know my feelings on Withnail & I by now, I'm sure. The text is from a very short and utterly AMAZING poem by David Thewlis, called "Rain". Unsurprisingly, it is my poetry icon!
Second Withnail icon, also used for general diva fits. It's a line from Bruce Robinson's diaries from the sixties, when he lived with the chap who was the inspiration for Withnail; the line refers to them going to a Conservative Party meeting because "some accountant called Bill Twococks" told them there'd be free sherry. There wasn't.
