Goals Update - August 2009
My piano students (siblings) have ditched me -again-. I am really, really tired of this family changing schedules on me. I am not on 24-hour standby for you, otherwise I'd charge you a lot more for these lessons. Grrr

wow, what a list. Readinggg it makes me tired I have to admit. But I also think I should back stuff up, just in case...but I don't know where to. I don't think burning a bunch of stuff onto DVD will be fun at all T__T and then where would I put them all?? *sigh* I guess I shall have to see. *shrugs* the other option is buying a 1TB drive and copying it all there, but then I'll forever fear that the HD will die on me, or something O_O
at least I'm crazy OCD about how i name my stuff. Even my pictures are sorted by year, and each file sorted by date along with the event name. ^_^;;
oh! And what I'd do about the student (what I have done with similar situations) is to inform parents that, especially now school is starting, that unless there isn't a good reason to cancel and about half a day of notice or something, you'll charge half the amount per student cancelled. That is to protect yourself and your time. I know it feels like you don't want to piss off the parents or threaten them, but if you implore to them that they're wasting your time, they're usually more understanding, especially if its the kids that whine and say 'i dun wannnaaa!!' and they give in. and honestly, when they're attending 1 class in a month instead of 4, if they choose to leave it's no real loss to me, that's the way I see it ^_^;;
