Cranky Person

So let me preface this posting with the concert was fab! Dinner at the Levy Restaurant at the AT&T Center was delicious. The brisket had a subtle flavor and the smothered green beans were just what I wanted and needed. I also drank more than enough water there (probably a really good thing). The only issue with dinner was where they seated us. Apparently table 16 is behind a support pole so our waiter didn't see us until I was getting ready to say something. Fortunately, he was very attentive so he made up for the early faux pas.

The show started off with a monologue from "Guitar Guy" from the Christmas special on Comedy Central. Funny piece of trivia: Guitar Guy is the father of Synyster Gates from the band Avenged Sevenfold (much to the delight of Troll 2 who loves that band). When Jeff entered the stage, he followed his usual routine with an opening monologue sans puppets and then brought out Walter. Walter, I believe, is what the two men in my life are going to be like in 30 years. Then came Achmed the Dead Terrorist. Followed by the unhusband's favorite character: Peanut. Forgive me for talking about the puppets as they were real people, but Peanut seemed to overdose on Redbull before the show. He truly was all over the place. Finally, he finished with Bubba J. He brought out his cheat sheet for his bit with Bubba J but didn't need it. Apparently all of us at the show have seen his work a little too much and helped Jeff finish up the lines. He said it was one of the stranger shows he has done lately.

The biggest issue was A) you'd think with all that we spent on tickets to get in the front row sections, we'd have something better to sit on than folding chairs and B) getting out of the damn parking lot took almost an hour. I'm going to avoid my usual bitch of "Just because I have a small car in Texas" and just say there are some real assholes jerks.

Last night, the unhusband woke me up to say thank you for the great time. Unfortunately, he wasn't the only one who woke me up. The littlest troll had an accident so there was drama at 2am. Now, I need to get coffee because I have a longish day ahead. Have my tix to see Watchmen at the Imax. Need to go to the grocery store. I also have to conquer the beast known as Dirticus Laundrycus. Its been almost a week since we've done battle. Plus the legal husband comes home this afternoon after a week in the field. Yeah!!!
