Desktop?
Ok, a bit outta my rut now.
Lappy keeps overheating, the sound won't work when I need it to, and the battery doesn't wol a charge anymore. I'm seriously thinking about building a tower. I want it to be ickles (desktop size tower), cute, and cost me <$300 to build. Anyone have any suggestions other than that?
Specs I'm looking for are:
Athleon motherboard with SATA- $60
at least 1.6 GHz processor-
512 MB of RAM - $40
64 MB video card - $60
the biggest harddrive i can aford
DVD-R drive- $30 (damn, when did these get so cheap?)
wirelss internet card- $25
I also need a moniter, keyboard, and mouse. I don't even have any I can canabalize. If anyone in FL is looking to get rid of those, I'll happily take them. All I ask is that moniters don't hum.
