Yep, we got us some severe weather in our area right now, well actually, a short time ago. North us about 60 miles they were reporting 80-90 mph winds, winds strong enough to topple two semi trucks on the Interstate onto their sides.
About 20 miles to the north of us, winds were reported about 40mph from some of the local hams in the area.
Right now I'm sitting at the computer, if you couldn't tell *g*, watching radar and monitoring storms but I'm fixing to get out of here and go check things out on the streets.
The storms have died down some now but another round is headed our way and as of right now, radar is showing these storms to be strong and severe, now, whether they hold up til they get here, which would be about 2 hours, is yet to be determined.
We have been issued a Flash Flood Warning for my county, hence my county's EOC had been activated earlier so therefore I have been activated.
One of our local TV stations has just reported 2 people in our area has been hit by lighting but this is unconfirmed as of right now.
The counties to our east are reporting 70-80mph winds according to the TV station.
This looks to be an active night to say the least.
Some minor flooding is being reported by one of the local ham radio operators right now.
Man oh man, current radar is showing those storms to the SW of us as growing and staying intact with heavy rains, and it is headed our way pretty good right now and this compiled with the flooding we are experiencing right nw, and the rain we have had over the last few days, yep, looks to be a flooding night alright.
