I Fought The Law and the Law Won!

Hey All,

Well, my days of thunder are now going to be behind me :(

I kinda got done last August doing 160 klm/h on the M2 going to work, I just gave the car a boot to get past some traffic and sadly there was a man in blue standing in the middle of the road pointing a microwave powered hairdryer at me.

Needless to say I was a bit shocked as i had never seen them hiding there before, so yeah, bugger...

I then decided to do the whole Ally McBeal thing and try my luck in the courts, bad move.. they had printed out my entire driving record from 1984 to now, which yeah, back then until i was 21, i was a rat, always driving like there was an F1 race to be won, but i was young and silly.

Anyway, the judge was not in a generous mood, so 2 days before Christmas, i had to tell my wife B, that I had lost my licence for 6 months, and worse still, $900 in fines...

So now my Integra is sadly sitting in the garage, the new VTEC sitting idle, I have been going down and warming it up and driving round the garage a bit, but it's not the same as being out on the road.

Lesson learned!

Well, actually seeing as B has banned me from racing on the track, this is one promise I will have to break, I figure 2 times a year is enough to have a track day without telling her, there are a lot of people who mis-understand racing, on a track day its not all about speed, you can still be fast without being dangerously stupid, in fact you may not even go faster than if you were on a highway, its the corners that are more fun.

Holly and B are now in Hong Kong, i miss them, but more about that in my next post.

Cheers

Bus, train and walking Chris
