[Review] The First "Book of the week"

Jun 08, 2011 00:09

Once upon a time....

There was a yaoi fangirl whose habit is spending time and time searching for new yaoi scanlation. And it was such a long period that she got her beloved yaoi from all the generous and hard-working scan groups.

One day, the repeated words "supporting the Mangaka, buy the real book" struck and she thought..."why not?"

And there started her new pride possesion, a collection of hard copy yaoi lining up on her bookshelf. And everytime she looks at it she wonder "why didn't I do this sooner"

A hem, is everyone still awake (hopefully).
So in this little journal of me you won't find download link, just review and discussion of some of the yaoi manga I bougt and are about to. The purpose?...To make thing clear, I'm not working for any publishing company or bookstore. I just simply hope to promote how buying the hard copy is really  worth it

So, my first review is....

Scarlet

Mangaka: Madarame Hiro
Publisher: Blu (they are going under together with TokyoPop...hic ;_;)
Price: 7.59 AUD
Bookstore: Bookdepository

Genre:  Yaoi 18 +, romance, happy ending, very sweet but there is also heartbreaking moment
My most favourite moment: "...Take all the time you need to get close to me" (Toki x Harumi extra chapter)

My most favourite book so far and I have read it again and again counless time and everytime I fully enjoys it

This is a complication of one-shorts, featuring 3 different couples, 3 different sweet and heartbreaking romances. The theme might be a bit sad and dark at the beginning but much lighter later all.

The drawing style is clearer than other books of Madarame sensei but they are still there, sensei’s adorable chibi pictures.
There is no extra content in the book and honestly I have read a more referable translating version. However, it's a whole different experience to see those gorgeous drawings on paper, without rolling up and down your screen. And you even got an extra page with full colour.

So what is your favourite moment in this book? If you also happen to have this book what is your opinion, is the hard copy really worth it? Tell me

PS: Sorry for the lame design and the broken English... this is my very frist blog entry ^_^
