WHU - 2009 Edition!
A happy 2009 to all of you, and here's to hoping that everyone had a wonderful and joy-filled holidays!
Now, onto the first weekly hockey update for the new year!
Although I closed out 2008 with a tie, we got back on the winning track last evening, and won 5-3. The teams, unfortunately, are beginning to be stacked more and more against me, since I had to make about a half-dozen breakaway saved (I did let one go in) and a lot of 2 and 3-on-1's. That's what happens when the other team gets all the good skaters, and I'm left with the semi-good ones. But, we jumped out to a 5-0 lead, and held on for the W. Probably my best game in a long time, even in letting up 3 goals. Go figure! So, if you're keeping score at home (which I know you are!! LOL) we've dropped the GAA to 2.81 and the record has gone to 7-2-1. Not bad for a 40-something. LOL.
Next week - it's break time, so the WHU will be back in 2 weeks. Woot!
