A multitude of things
- I return from Los Angeles! Despite the many attempts by California drivers, I return in one piece. My presentation went well, which is always good.
- I could watch my cat on the kitty cam at the pet boarding place we had her, which I did. Group kitty play time was from 7am - 10am EDT. I was in PDT. So yeah, I did in fact wake up at 4am to watch my cat, because that is the kind of person I am.
- It's 4/14, and because of the crazy year I am having, I am just now doing my taxes. I may need to adjust my with holdings slightly because I am getting a very large amount of money back. Money I would prefer to have gaining interest in my account throughout the year. How large you ask? Over $2000 combined from state and federal.
- Fun fact: TurboTax is messing up state taxes if the two states have reciprocal agreements. What this means is if you work in one state, but live in another, and they have a reciprocal agreement, you don't have to pay taxes but in one state.For some reason TurboTax isn't accounting for this despite the fact they'll tell you which states have the agreements. I've seen other people complaining about this issue.
I have some awesome Tsaiko and Miome theater bits to post. Especially the one partially overheard by some guy on the streets of LA. We kind of traumatized him. :D
Finally, to the anonymous person who sent me a virtual flower through LJ after the loss of Kira: Thank you. I wasn't up to reading comments right after it happened, but the flower and your words were comforting. I appreciate it.
