2 Announcements!
1st, anybody trying to contact me, please note, that my e-mail address tekkaman@blademail.net will cease to exist after tomorrow due to termination of service by the provider. If you have tried to reach me lately, it is possible the mail bounced (btw Mel, yours got through). With the reliability of the account unreliable I have not really been checking it lately (perhaps obviously).
I have a gmail.com account, it is trainx. This is now my regular address. However, despite the near non-existent use that the address has had in the past, it already is on its way to becoming a spam magnet -.-. The blademail address, up until a year ago, was extremely good at not recieving spam. Gmail may be too popular for its own good, or my address is just too cliche.
2nd, I am coming to Toronto, I will be landing on the 26th of July, arriving before I take off, as usual, and leaving on the 10th of August (tentative). Looking forward to seeing you all (and hopefully can get the whole lot of ya this time, since I will be around twice as long as last time ;)).
Things have been kinda unsteady lately in the sense of what actually happens to the company I work for. I am trying to get into other work, but I may perhaps be being too careful this time that I become my own worse enemy? Yet at the same time this is following advice. Hmm. My boss has a potential back up he's trying to pull out of his hat. He quit yesterday though (he's planning on starting his own schtick, and I might be invited).
I wonder if I am not having enough fun. There's certainly an argument. I got my raise but this has only resulted in me instinctively trying to pay down my debt faster leaving me equally broke -.-. Well, that's just lovely. I wonder how I do it. I may want to swing a deal somewhere with da 'rents, since they are one of the "banks" I'm repaying. Funny using the term that way, usually it refers to getting money from your parents, not your parents getting money from you. This is adult life?
Feeling different lately in general. I think it is for the better, but I am feeling that there's something in Toronto that's more important to me than I thought. Dunno what that is yet.
I may look different too, I'm not really sure though, don't remember what I was like a year ago anymore 0o.
Been getting decent fixes of music lately. Global Airwaves has been pumping out some more great stuff (I ranted about this series before, didn't I?). They are absolutely incredible, I have heard their first track that wasn't good and that wasn't until their third CD, so they have this beautiful three-disc set and there's only one bad track on the whole lot. WTF?!, that just doesn't happen.
Also finally got my hands on Illusion, as I stumbled upon the Benassi Brothers' CD (apparently it has been around for a while). Sandy's (one of the featured vocals) tracks are all good, she has four tracks featuring her voice. And then there's Dhany, along with Illusion, Dhany's track (only one) also had a music video included, and, although seemingly simple in its direction in one sense, it is damn hot (I think both sexes could agree). Illusion unfortunately falls a little far away from the best video I've ever seen.
This dirty trance with techno undertones (apparently it is called hypnotech) seems fairly unique to Benassi, and the vocals that they combine it with make it come out far above run-of-the-mill electronica.
Hard to say which duo kicks more ass, Benassi Brothers or Flip&Fill.
Anyway, that's enough of that.
