on so many levels i'm Dean (music, snark, sarcasm, i'm the oldest. anyway). but i think when it comes to spoilers, i'm Jared. in one of my many conversations with Bodge, she mentioned the reason Jared is a "walking spoiler" is that to him it's not spoilery. it makes sense; he knows where it's going. Jared's mom is an English/Literature teacher. Jared's grown up with literature and stories, and the ability to see where things are going. (until Kripke throws a twist at him, of course.)
example: Bodge (don't mean to pick on you here...) reads and writes a lot of stories with werewolves. While she was reading "New Moon" (book 2 in the "Twilight" series) she asked a friend to let her know if "A" "B" and "C" plot points had come to pass by the end of "Eclipse." Sure enough, they did - and she'd figured plot points "A" "B" and "C" in the middle of reading "New Moon." Did that mean she was spoiled for "Eclipse"? well, technically, i suppose she was. but i think it's always cool when you can figure things like that out - based on character, lore, and the story.
being a writer, reader, and tv/movie watcher has sometimes helped me figure out where things are going (not always *cough*Lost*Supernatural*cough*), and what would be really cool if it happened. this stated, when we last left Dean, he'd basically satisfied the contact and he's in Hell. (if you're a Cenobite, anyway...). We know he's coming back - it's just a question of when. i've talked with a few people, and it sounds like he'll be "back" within the first 20 minutes. and everyone rejoices. cause it's Dean! yes, i know i'm a Dean!girl, but at least can we have some suspense?
here's what i was thinking - and y'know, it could be the truth for all i know:
●9:55 - the story of Sam and Bobby and whatever they were doing in 4x01 is wrapped up, and just as it's about to go to that commercial break one last time - the scene cuts to - Dean!
●9:58 - back from commercial - Dean is shown standing up, getting his bearings, looking at himself, making sure he's not shredded from the Hellhounds - scene cuts to Sam andn Bobby, and Sam gets whacked with a vision. Cut to credits.
this would then lead to a few (two or three) episodes with Dean trying to track down Sam; and Sam trying to find Dean. (and 4x02 could actually make sense then. not that i know what the plot is, i know about one of the characters.) and then - a real hug. not a "thank gods you're not dead!" hug. heh.
anyway.
i'm sure this wouldn't happen because it would then produce a few epsiodes that were Sam-centric, and that have an A-plot and a B-plot. seemingly, these episodes in the past didn't do all that well in the ratings.
but what do i know? i watch them all during the year, i watch them once, i don't watch reruns, i like both Dean AND Sam; and i'm really twisted since i'm rooting for all these spoilers and sides to be fake. *is weird*
i know i've got more, but my brain isn't cooperating.
