SN Ep & Picspam!! ~ Bloodlust
dangerous combo of thoughts on the episode and picspam. hee. seriously, feel free to skip the blabbering, and jump to the yummy Dean-goodness.
i'll admit, i've read lots of posts on this ep before i got to typing this, and everyone has said some wonderful thoughts on this. and if i say "someone said" and mention your theory, let me know! and...since i didn't watch Angel, i didn't get some of the references.
however, i did watch Forever Knight. when the show opens, set in the mid-1990s, Nick Knight has sworn off human blood for the last century or so. he's wanted to be mortal, pay for his sins. he drinks bottled cow's blood. but yes, he would not pass up the opportunity for human blood. in fact, throughout Nick's almost 800 years, he's always had trouble creating new vamps -- always took too much blood.
but for this conviction not to drink human blood, his sire teased him mercelessly for this. his lover kept trying to bring him back into their fold. it never worked.
anyway. not having watched Buffy yet, Amber was very cool as Lenore, and was wonderful at refusing when she offered the human blood from Sam.
and that was when Dean realised there were shades of grey. what if they'd killed things that didn't deserved to be killed. Dean sees things in grey now, not black and white like Gordon did.
about Gordon: he told Dean and Sam that he knew about their father. that's an awesome network there. Gordon knew John, knew about them.... and from the look on Dean's face, they knew nothing about the other hunters.
someone said that John found out alot of stuff between Shadow and Dead Man's Blood... and that he knew about Sam in DMB, and waited until IMToD to finally tell Dean. but my question is this: what else didn't John tell them? obviously about the Network. and Ellen.
i did like hearing about one of Dean's early hunts with John. i was VERY happy the car is up and running again. and Back in Black? oh SO AWESOME!! i have so many other thoughts, i may or may not post them; we shall see.
and Journey! OMGods that was such a perfect song.
