it's been two weeks. i'm fine now. i laughed, i cried, i'm surprised i have tv show that lasted 15 seasons, that's for sure. only a few of my shows made it to 6, 7 or 8 seasons. but 15 is amazing. and a very awesome shout-out and thanks to EVERYONE who ever worked on the show in front of the camera or behind it!
and then last week, i read an article, don't remember which site it was from, but it was along the lines of "5 things we really liked about the ending (and 5 we didn't)"
now, i'd like to think we'd all been reading along when Jensen and Jared had said the pandemic actually did change the ending. i'd wondered what was going to be different, because i no longer read spoilers and spoilery interviews, and most of the time i'm just clueless about what's happening until i watch it, and then sit there and stare opened-mouthed, totally in shock from NOT expecting what i just saw.
so, this article says one of the things they didn't like about the ending is that they expected to see MORE PEOPLE in the ending scenes (purposely left unspoilery, because i didn't actually watch the finale until a day or two later, so you never know.)
and they listed who they wanted to see, and i'm pretty sure it had already been planned that all those people were going to be there - in a pre-pandemic world, anyway. the last two episodes were finally filmed once it was safe to do so, because pandemic!
yeesh.
nice to see the fandom goes out the way it came in - clueless about how the real world impacts what we see on-screen.
