I watched these a while ago, and just now got back to posting them. I'll try to be more timely after I watch the next batch. :)
Nick and Schanke are asked to trust a lady (Laura, the Tex-Ax Murderer) who was convicted of a murder that she's innocent....she asks if they can understand the "running" and the need to feel safe. We see Lacroix as the Nightcrawler, a nighttime tall radio host. (It's Lacroix's way of trying to reach out to Nick)
Nick is against the death penalty.
The officer guarding Laura's cell is reading a book called "Lust for Lo----" Hard to tell what the last word is.
Schanke says in Texas you can get the death penalty for failing to pick up after your chihuahua. LOL!
When Schanke askes Nick why he listens to that creep (the Nightcrawler), Nick says he's an acquired taste.
In the flashback, Lacroix kills the Sister who helped Nick stay hidden, away from his pursuers. Nick says he trusted her. Lacroix goes in a ragw saying there is no trust.... that's a human thing.
Turns out Laura, who Nick trusted, killed the people she was suspected of killing.
Nick admits to Nat that Lacroix was right, and he shouldn't trust anyone.
the case: 6 guys are killed in a month, each victim more dangerous than the rest. A watch is found on each body.
Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Lacroix, Jeanette, and Nick are hungry, and on the hunt. Maybe they're the hunted?
In the present, Nick suggests that the victims might have been hunted, and him and Schanke go undercover to draw out the killer. They catch a guy who was supposed to be the next victim says he was given a tape that told him 2 million dollars was in a certain place, but the catch was he would be hunted, and the watch counted down the amount of time he'd have to find the money....or be killed. Nick thinks the killer is out for a thrill.
Until Nick gets a tape to listen to...he has 30 minutes to find Schanke.....and he'll be hunted as well. The Hunter also knows Nick is a vamp. And it's near daylight.....
The Hunter tells Schanke it's about sport, to kill is the ultimate control. Schanke doesn't expect Nick to show up and save him.
Nick saves Schanke, but not after Nick gave the Hunter a merry chase. The Hunter thought she knew what vamps could or could not do.....so Nick had to do something unexpected.
I love all the banter with Nick and Nat...... and a confused Schanke.
