Some time ago, I really did watch more! I iust haven't posted them yet. So, here's what I watched~
*Love You to Death, 1x22, original air date 3/2/93 ~ the opening song is "White Rose"... there's a song on the soundtrack called "Black Rose." Meant to look this one up.
The guest star was Andrea Roth - she was Janet Gavin on Rescue Me!
*Killer Instinct, 2x01, original air date 9/17/94 ~ first thing first: I recently read that the show was almost canceled after the first season! Huh.
Anyway: Nick's spidey-sense ffor Lacroix starts tingling....nevermind Nick drove a burning stake through Lacroix in the season opener!
"The Hunger" is the song playing at The Raven. This one is on the soundtrack.
It turns out that Lacroix is framing Nick, so IA investigates Nick, in order to get Nick to realize it's time to move on -- but Nick would have no reason to suspect Lacroix since as far as Nick knows, Lacroix is dead....
The cops (yep, Nick's coworkers!) search Nick's loft, and when they find the blood in his fridge, the explanation is he uses it for paint thinner. LOL!
Nat needs to send Nick's DNA sample to compare with the real killer's DNA....but she can't send Nick's DNA, so she grabs a random guy to call "Nick's"....and that's a match! So she needs to scramble to remember who she grabbed....
When Nick talks to Jeanette about what's going on, she says the community has asked her to get Nick to leave his current life, she she doesn't know it's Lacroix behind it either!
Nat has to confess to Schanke that she switched Nick's DNA, she needed to have a really good reason why she didn't send Nick's. Nat tells Schanke that Nick has "hemolollatollapapsia"! LOL!!
Turns out Lacroix is too old and powerful to be killed. In the end, Nick is exonerated, Lacroix takes off again, and Nick tells Jeanette their bond has strengthened because Lacroix is back.
*A Fate Worse than Death, 2x02, original air date 9/24/94 ~ "Destiny's Edge" is playing in the Raven.
Nick arrests a pimp, but they can't hold him because of lack of evidence. Nick is suprised to see Jeanette so worked up over letting then guy go. Nick hadn't seen Jeanette like that in 800 years. Did he not know her past?
Jeanette says the pimp must pay, Nick says that's not how things are done and his hands are tied. Jeanette says her's are not.
Nick wanta to save Celeste, one of the pimp's ladies. Nick tries to look for Jeanette, and he finds her at the pimp's house. Turns out the pimp in already dead, and Jeanette is pissed she wasn't the one to kill him.
The flashbacks in this ep are Jeanette's....and we see Lacroix save her from almost getting raped. Lacroix turns her, and one of her first acts of vengeance is killing her would-be rapist. She also vowes to never let any woman be in that same position again.
*Stranger than Fiction, 2x03, original air date 10/1/94 ~ totally loved this one this time round too. Emily's Vampire Sagas could parallel either the Vampire Diaries, or even the Vampire Lestat series, since they were out at the time this aired.
*Bad Blood, 2x04, original air date 11/12/94 ~ we meet a very interesting uber!vampire - Jack the Ripper! Also, this is the first time vampire hunters are mentioned. Also, tv.com has this listed as 2x09, whereas the DVD has it in the place of 2x04.
*Forward into the Past, 2x05, original air date 10/8/94 ~ we see more of Nick's back story. We also meet Aristotle, a vamp who's king at new IDs and new lives for vamps. We see him in the past, and again in the present of the show. Aristotle also mentions the Enforcers.
