Whining...
Damn, my mouth hurts. I went in to get a crown yesterday morning. I also had a tooth that needed to be pulled (the one I broke on our anniversary at the Marakesh last year) but wasn't planning on doing it then. But, the Dr thought it would be a pretty quick/simple extraction. Wrong. It took 40 minutes for him to get the damned thing out. It was on my lower left jaw. He had to cut the gum on the tongue side (buccal) all the way down to the part where your tongue rests just to be able to get enough tooth to grab on to. When he was done he gave me a script for Vicodin and told me not to go to work. To just go home and rest cuz I was gonna hurt.
Once I took Advil, it actually stopped hurting totally. I figure it's because Advil is an anti-inflammatory. Take the swelling down = less pressure on the nerve= less pain. But it isn't doing so well today. I have a tendency to get 'dry socket' and I think I'm heading that way now. Hurts. Unfortunately, that is one of the side effects of being a smoker...it can cause dry socket. Wish I had some clove oil. That shit works wonders on dry socket...and makes your breath smell nice too :)
