(no subject)
I've been in my apartment for almost a week now. I absolutely LOVE having my own place!!!!!! Any of you who know my parents can certainly understand that!!! I get to start classes in a few days also!! I'm riding the train downtown tomorrow to see how long it takes and such.... make sure I don't get lost and end up late to my first class on Tuesday.
I have to be on my crutches for at least 2 more weeks... after that I don't know.... so annoying. My cable doesn't get hooked up until Monday... so I've been renting movies like crazy. I found one of my favorite movies from when I was a kid on DVD!!!! Flight of the Navigator!!!! Please... someone tell me that you've seen this!!!! I also rented Lost in Translation. I've only watched about half an hour of it... so I can't really make an accurate statement about it.... but so far I've liked it. I was actually laughing out loud... which I don't think I do at that many movies. Everyone keeps saying how bad this movie is and that it doesn't make any sense... but so far... it's fitting my weird sense of humor.
Does anyone else wonder what determines your sense of humor?? I've never been able to really define mine.... if something is funny, it's funny. But I never really know what will be and what won't be. Just something I've pondered.
Speaking of funny..... if there are still people out there who have not heard of Avenue Q.... check it out!!!!!! My awesome friend Phil (thank you thank you thank you) burned me a copy of the soundtrack... and I just can't get enough of it!!!! I would love to actually see it... but of course I can't afford it. Seriously.... go buy the soundtrack... you don't even need to preview... I guarantee you'll love it!!!!!
My grandma gave me these really cool couches for my apartment... straight from the 70s... I love it. She's giving me some lamps too that are way cool. I was lucky... I got practically everything I need for my apartment for free!!!! It pays to have relatives who have too much stuff!!!
I'm officially ashamed of myself. Kill Bill Vol2 has been out for quite a while now... and I still haven't bought it. I almost rented it the other day.... but I really need to just have my own copy to watch. I feel like I would be cheating on my copy... even though I don't even have it yet!!! I can't wait to watch both of them in a row... the way they were meant to be watched.
I think that's about all that's new... although I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff. Colin is coming this weekend!!! We're going to a BBQ at Lisa's. I'm hoping to hit up my Uncle Cliff for a job. His office is like 2 blocks from the school and he's always looking for extra help. I need all the money I can get!!!!!
