Freygang-Higbie 2020

I've lost faith in the American people. Not because Kerry didn't win, but because George W. Bush did. Dubbya has proved over the last 4 years what an incompetent and poor president he's been, unable to think for himself. He has conspired with special interest groups, lobbyists, and granted benefits to all his old friends in business. Not to mention ( Read more... )

I can't believe that you think anyone could live through the past few weeks and not know the issues and grasp them in some form. Plus your definetion of ignorance is not swearing feality to the first liberal hype you hear. Good work, its so much better to follow demigogs like Micheal Moore than it is to follow the other side. So I guess if i disagree with you I am ignorant? There are plenty of issues I agree with Bush on. Such as less social welfare programs, elimenating or privatizing Social security, tax cuts although i would support a "flat tax", no gay mariage but civil unions(yes i know kerry is for that too), stronger military, and limited Alaskan drilling.

my opinion on gay marriage is that it simply doesn't exist. I'm not saying that I'm ignoring it or pretending it's not there... it just doesn't exist, and nothing that the government does one way or the other will change that. They can say, "yes, you're married now!" but that's impossible because God defined marriage. He came up with the idea, and He said it's between a man and a woman. So no matter what, gay people cannot get married - it simply is impossible.

I understand what you are saying, and I think that is perfectly alright, but it is not talking about the same marriage. What they actually mean is "Civil Union", the gay couples don't really care so much about being considered "Married", but there are certain benefits that come along with that title, like being able to visit a spouse in the hospital when they aris jue gravely sick. Little things like that, and I wouldn't want to deny them those things, I'm not one to get in the way of love, whatever kind it is.

I don't propose following any liberal hype, as a matter of fact, I take everything I hear as propaganda. I'm not saying John Kerry is god, but the lesser of two evils. In a perfect world, there would be no dividing line between canidates, no parties. I agree Michael Moore is skewed on some points, but he does provide a strong argument. The difference is that I realize that, and I can admit it. An ignorant person would disregard any attack on their president as obvious bullshit, and would never admit that their president made a huge mistake with the War in Iraq. I learned in psychology (ask Sarah Davis if you don't believe me) that the best way to persuade an uneducated audience is to offer just your standpoint, however, if they are educated, you must offer BOTH standpoints and the reason yours is better. The political parties are preaching to an uneducated audience. An ignorant person would refuse to listen and consider the other side of the argument. I've come to my conclusions about George Bush based on an accumulation of ( ... )

If you oppose Blaine, then you watch too much Fox news. All i can say is, if you look at a map of the election results you will notice that George W took all the states with a bunch of red-necks/cowboys/lowlifes. Yes, florida too.

I would just like to say that if you attain your political opinions from a highschool senior, then you are being nothing short of ignorant. Don't let someone influence your own political opinions, especially someone who is not living on their own and paying taxes.

Don't say that you aren't doing that, Blane, because you are.

This is not a partisan post, I'm not siding with Democrats, I'm just saying, George Bush is a horrible president and I don't understand why people don't realize that. It is MY journal and so of course it is my opinion, no one has to agree with me. I never proposed you were ignorant for not, I'm not attacking the right wing, there are plenty of people who are well informed and poorly informed on both sides. I'm trying to get people to look beyond party loyalties and take a look at what is actually happening, look at it from the other side once and a while. I did not intend to start a political flame-fest. You all did this on your own.

P.S. It's "Blaine" in case you missed the hundreds of other times it appears on the webpage.
