So, um, does that mean you stopped her?

Yes. Just like in the legend, when Izanagi sealed his wife, Izanami, inside the Cave of Yomi, so has Izanami promised to leave our world in the hands of the children of men. She won't be interfering in our world ever again...

Oh! Good! Is everyone all right? Sealing goddesses in caves sounds very dangerous, scientifically speaking.

Oh, fine. Except we all had to die first... s-sob... truthinfortune March 21 2010, 05:54:34 UTC
We're fine. Now, anyway. The battle was very long and hard, even harder than the battle against Ameno-sagiri, but we made it through, in the end. When Izanagi-no-Okami spoke the word of power which banishes all the world's curses and falsehoods... Izanami-no-Okami descended into Yomi once more... After that, the fog which had enshrouded that world for so long finally lifted. That, if nothing else, is a sign that all is right with the world.

minor detail, right? :D? and sorry for the P4 question spam ;; makinganote March 21 2010, 06:03:59 UTC
Who's Ameno-Sagiri?

I'm glad you found the truth, and that all the fog is gone.

It's all good. truthinfortune March 21 2010, 06:23:22 UTC
He was that deity we fought before, the one who possessed Adachi. That was last year, when the fog enveloped Inaba. At the time, we thought he was the one responsible for everything, but it turns out that he was merely a small facet of Izanami's personality set to watch over humanity and the Shadows inside that world...

Yes. We'll never have to worry about the fog returning to either our world or that other world ever again. Senpai can finally leave Inaba with a clear conscience knowing that we've tied up all the loose ends.

So...there were a lot of different people doing different things because Izanami gave them powers, so that that it all came together it made a big messy knot of Shadows and Fog and murders and Personas. And also TVs, right?

Yes, something like that. She chose three humans to represent three possible destinies: Emptiness, Despair, and Hope. Souji-senpai represented Hope, Adachi represented Despair, and Namatame represented Emptiness. Whichever of those three should prevail would then determine the fate in store for mankind. Since Senpai triumphed over all adversity and was able to discover the conductor behind it all... it was proof that hope still resides in the human heart. That is why it is up to us to decide our own fate from now on.

Huh. I wonder what would've happened if she got the roles mixed up. But that's...a little creepy to think about, scientifically speaking. I'm glad she doesn't get to decide anymore.

I don't really know... All she did was "give them a little push," as she said, and let events unfold in their own manner. Izanami simply stood by and watched while we all groped blindly in the dark, trying to find the answer to it all... Maybe that's what life is all about? People searching for the truth about themselves, reaching out and holding hands so you don't get lost in the fog...

It doesn't sound like a very good show to watch. I'd have probably changed the channel. But that's probably why I'm going to be a forensic scientist and not, um, a goddess or anything.

Well, Izanami said that it was us humans who determined what would appear on the Midnight Channel in the first place...

A forensic scientist? I see. Then you're used to working alongside law enforcement officials, aren't you?

A little! My sister used to be a detective, and I've helped out on a few cases!

Really? What sort of cases? Theft? Homicide?

Homicides, both times. Although one of them was the virus this week's fault.

I see... That virus was rather strange, wasn't it?

Well, it appears that you'd fit in well with any of the detectives on the community. As far as I know, we've all dealt with homicide cases in the past. Have you ever worked on a case with one of the community's detectives?
