the most painful thign to the human flesh is beign opened. Consider this - whenever we are cut or lacerated, it hurts. Blood comews out. It scares us . That blood is our life force. that blood circulates throuhg us, gives u what we need to operate, to survive. That blood is our energy. So let us look at our feelings as blood. this is interesting stuff. from birth humans are aware of physical hurt, and eventually they learn to fear it(i.e. a baby will touch a stove burner because it doesn't know that it will hurt, but an adult has learned that burners are HOT and hurt and s/he will not touch the burner) emotional pain is not something that we all know early on(or even from the same time)and definitely not in the same degrees. much of european and asian literature(sorry i can't compare to other cultures :0( )that i have read parallel emotional and physical pain(an arrow through my heart, ect.) we begin to build the same safeties into our daily lives to prevent emotional pain(teen movie example: a boy not asking the hot girl to prom because she will turn him down). in instances of both emotional and physical pain we have built these walls around us to protect us. it's a very useful aspect of human nature. but sometimes those safeguards(now i sound like a virus protection system)cause us more pain than they prevent(i.e.1)hot girl actually thinks he's an ( ... )
