Weekend

Well now. I've been reading for about two hours and I still haven't reached the end of Wuthering Heights. I'm not convinced I ever will, maybe that's the point. It was set as a first year text to crush our spirits nice and early. Oh, it's not that bad. I just want to start the next one now.
I did my washing earlier and the laundry room was full of gnats. Seriously swarming, because some ninny left the door open. It reminded me of a portaloo type thing we came across at Lake Manyara in Tanzania. Only, in there the air was black with malaria carrying mozzies. But then, we were in the middle of an enormous national park. I wish I was there now. Not in the portaloo.
This weekend then, Saturday night we went to Lucy and Kev's for mexican food. I'd never had proper Tacos before, i'm still not overly convinced, but it was all lovely. We watched Cars, which was cute and the beginning of Grudge Two (naughty pirates). We were all baffled by the plot, or lack of and spent most of the time trying to work out who was related to who and why it mattered. Then we had to leave. I would like to see the rest of it, just to discover if actually it wasn't a poorly constructed mish mash of other films with no discernable plot, but I won't be paying for the priveledge.
Sunday, after we realised the clocks had gone back we had brunch ala Jess' halls then came back here and watched an impressive amount of Angel. Actually we finished Angel today, much to my discontent. I was convinced (and I don't know why) there were 7 seasons, so when we finished the penultimate episode and Jess informed me that actually no, it ends now, you can imagine my horror, as Angle (heh) spent the entire episode telling everyone they're going to die. *sigh* ... Lunch at Wagamama's which was yumm. I'm so crap at chopsticking. I tried, and failed. I'm sure I did better last time. I think i'll have to practice secretly then wow everyone next time. They will be wowed.
This week is reading week so no uni. Hurrah. Tomorrow I have to buy some kind of smart shoe. Jess and I are going to a black tie event on Friday and I don't think I can wear my Puma's. I'm looking forward to it actually, it'll be nice to do something grown-up. You know, other than budgeting.
Along with reading Wuthering Heights, I've spent this evening emailing all the letting agents in Kingston. Your Move seem to have a no student policy on almost all their property, i'm hoping this isn't the case generally. We are after all, mature students, and Phil isn't even one of our dispicable breed. I'm sure we'll find something.
