"That's a new look for you..." Mr. Claussen

I am not sure why, but the fact that I am leaving for Chicago on Friday doesn't seem to be clicking in. It is going to be so much fun, I can not wait! I still have to pack, which is odd for me. I am usually packed for a trip around one month before I even have to go. Now I am down to the last two days and I still haven't even really thought about it. I guess my last early morning rehearsal is tomorrow as well. For the rest of the year. That will be nice to get over with. Anyway, here's how my day went for future referencing purposes.

I got to dress up as a hippie today. For extra-credit(wow really?!) in APUSH. I got thirty points, which I hope will help my grade in some way. As I went to my early morning rehearsal I got many strange looks but I really didn't care. It's all worth it for thirty extra credit points. We rehearsed in the PAC this morning, as well I was completrly out of tune for some reason today. Or at least muted I was completely out of tune. That's not the point though, I was out of tune. After that I went to Geometry. Learned nothing I didn't already know. All we did was review for the E.O.I. tests. I went to Biology and we got back our practice E.O.I. test. Everyone got somewhere around a 60%. I got a 95%. I have decided everyone in my Biology class is a slacker. We also watched another video. So I did my SAT Vocabulary homework for English instead. In APUSH we did our presentations of our 60s-70s stuff. It was awesome to listen to the music. I ate lunch with Lora and we learned how to play "man in the moon". I went to German and we read more of "Arme Anna" and finally tried to figure out what had gone so wrong on the quiz we had taken the day before. Confounded German grammar. Anyway, after that I went to English and turned in the SAT Vocabulary I had done earlier in Biology. After that we took the test over the words(which I think went well, I knew almost every answer).

I had a Jazz Band rehearsal today after school. It turns out my 2nd part double quit on me(which I didn't find out until yesterday) and now I am a tiny bit mad at him. Only a tiny bit. Can't be mad at David for too long, he's too great of a friend. I got all of his improv solos. GREAT. Not, anyone who knows me will be able to tell you that I have a violent fear of improv(Note: U of A summer band camp). It went well for the most part though. At the end of rehearsal Mr. Claussen came in(Sapulpa HS Band Director) and he saw me. I looked like a hippie still so I got told what a nice "new look" I had. To save myself I tried to explain the whole counter-culture day thing to him. To no avail. Anway, after that I went to my dad's and had dinner. Then I made the journey up Riverside to go to B'nai Emunah for Midrasha. We discussed the front page of the March issue of the Trojan Torch(my school's newspaper) and then talked about Palestinians for the rest of the hour. Then break for fifteen minutes. In second hour we watched a video about intermarriage. I get the feeling my Rabbi doesn't like it. It made a lot of us feel really guilty, but I'll get over it. Mostly because I have a lot of friends who have two loving parents with two different religions. I will just keep telling myself that until the day I die. The biggest problem the couples had was over the raising of children(understandably) and fortunately I don't have to worry about that now. Well I am done with this now. My hands hurt and I want to devote my time to Chris since he has graced me with his internet presence. :-P Shalom Y'all!
