it's HOT. triples digits hot.
And I just went out and make my first HOLY COW THAT'S EXPENSIVE purchase: my mattress and box set.
Which is probably the most expensive thing on my list. I didn't want to skimp on the mattress, 'cause Lord knows I'm going to need to be getting the best sleep ever in the upcoming year. Thank GOD we saved a lot of the furniture from Sandy's mother.

This weekend is going to be insane. Tomorrow work in the morning, and I'll have to drive down to Peoria at night. Spend the night with Katie, drive to the school in the AM so I can visit my classroom and grab some books. Unfortunately, the superintendent and principal won't be there. In fact, the only reason why they're letting me visit is 'cause the custodians will be around. Which sucks, 'cause they had electronic copies of curriculum used by the previous teacher, which would be an excellent tool for me. But, on the bright side, at least I get to grab materials and get started. Later that day I have a viewing appointment with one apartment complex. Next day I have another appointment, and then I have to get fingerprinted in Eureka (which would be on the way home). So it'll be busy.
And I've got a little over a week left at work! Crazy. It'll suck to not get the paychecks that I could get for the rest of July, but, considering how much stuff I need to get done, I need to maximize my time, and it would suck having to plan that around hours at a register.
My to-do list is still ridiculously long...but it's kinda nice to think about the fact that I'm starting to chip away at the iceberg.
