...and I am feeling so much better than I was.
I've been feeling so stressed out this past week. I'm not really sure there's a reason, I haven't had all that much to do, but I haven't really been sleeping and I've had Hamish nagging me to fix his computer, websites to make, and everyone else nagging me to think about university stuff.
So to fix myself I had a downloading binge- hours of country music and Alan Rickman. I've now downloaded (and bought-eek!):
- The HP films
- Perfume
- Dogma
- Snow Cake
- Blow Dry
- Die Hard
- Sense and Sensibility
- Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
- Something I can't remember the name of, but should arrive tomorrow!
Well, I did say binge!
I'm particularly in love with Snow Cake. It's just... brilliant. Leaving aside the fact that any film with Alan Rickman in it is brilliant, it's a fantastic script, awesomely written and acted. I know hardly anything about autism- only some research from a play we did before the end of term, but it's done really well in the film. And, of course, it has AR in it!
I've managed not to obsess over him for, actually ages now. Around Sense and Sensibility and Galaxy Quest I had a bit of an obsessive period and then after the first Harry Potter film I got a tad obsessive again and then as the third one came out, I was more obsessed with David Thewlis. After the fourth one I was desperately hoping everything to do with Harry Potter might spontaneously combust (I hated the 5th book, and the 4th film). After the 6th book I was back into HP obsessive mode, and now after the last book, and this last film (OotP) I'm back in to full blown obsession again...
It was probably this youtube video that knocked my HP obsession to the left slightly, back into the territory of Alan Rickman obsession:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cw6Swr-ME40 His voice is just.... guh *melts*
We won't think about exactly how old he is in Snow Cake, or OotP for that matter, but I'm not sure it matters- as long as he is capable of speech he'll still be sexy.
And thinking about age... how did he get the part of Snape, who is supposedly in his late thirties when he's in his sixties? Not that I'm complaining. God no.
Oh dear... that was all completely incoherent isn't it? It's the Alan Rickman effect... I must go and find something else to do. Not that it isn't fun to be sat here giggling to myself and drooling over my second monitor... but I have been here for a long time, someone will think I've died.
But yes... spontaneous ramble to one side, I feel almost completely destressed now. I'm going to try and actually get some sleep tonight, and not just between 3am and 6am and with any luck I'll be completely fixed. *nods*
Over and out,
Telm
