Well, im finally on my way. Were currently on the motorway, the m6 to be exact. Near manchester according to my chauffer. The caravans are out in force and weve got about 4 hours of drive left to go.
Im still not sure im actually thrilled about having to go to uni but being in the car makes me much more eager to get out and be there already.
Have we heard the story of my new phone yet? No? Thats a terrible shame. Do let me tell you...
I bought a second hand nokia n80 of ebay last week. Hes in brilliant condition and is just the most awesome phone. He connects to wireless lan, views full webpages as well as those annoyingly tiny wap ones. Hes got a 3mp camera which is surprisingly good quality for a phone. No auto focus and a little twiddle for close and landscape. But, id say it was about the quality of my old 2mp kodak. I wont ever use the built in mp3 player but its awesome sound quality. The only complaint people had on reviews was battery life, which ive found to be really good. Whether im just comparing it to my old phone who would jump to half battery after a few minutes of gameplay i dont know but its been good to me. Ive had my nokia on now since yesterday morning. I was playing games from about 7 till midnight and surfing the net and its only this morning that the batterys dropped a bit, but only by two bars. I bought a second battery though which i have charged up in my pocket so im not too worried. Of course, the best thing about my new phone is the very fact that its a nokia. My first ever mobile was a nokia. Well, almost everyone around my age had a nokia for their first phone. Normally a 32 or 3310 or similar model, but anyway... They are so simple to use but not in the over simplified manner of say a sagem. Theyre nokia to use. Having not touched a nokia since my 3310 i still found myself experiencing a vague sense of nostalgia as i navigated the menus, tried sending a message etc. Its modern enough to be new but nokia enough to make me feel like a lost user come home.
I had a serious downloading binge yesterday because i dont think ill be able to use limewire or bitlord when i get up there and ive got lots of good stuff,
Keane,
Tim McGraw,
Broken Social Scene,
John Denver,
Elton John,
Brad Paisley,
The Wreckers,
Mark Owen,
Trace Adkins,
I am Kloot,
and more i havent thought of.
I also got another copy of perfume and bob roberts, some alan rickman films. Perfumes in french again, damn its eyes, this time with subtitling in something that looks like swedish. Bob roberts seems really boring and political, and ar has an american accent which is never as much fun. But i should have enough to control both my downloading and need for ar urges. Well, as soon as i buy Close My Eyes and An Awfully Big Adventure arrives. Lol
Ooh, ooh and i bought and downloaded Die Hard! Kizzis been trying to tell me for years how good it is. Its like the best film in the world and alan rickman just happens to be a main part. I love it.
Anyway, im going to go and be bored and see if this posts. Im going to be quite upset if it doesnt.
Ooh, actually, did i tell you Im on my phone now? I realise its obvious, but i am. I couldnt get on on my old phone. Anyhow...
Over and out,
