When it rains, it pours. Well they certainly weren't joking about that. The master's roses are going to get bruised and develop rot at this rate. I suppose that can't be helped but at the very least, I have salvaged a few.

I do indeed, Miss Umi. It's become somewhat of a pastime now, what with the master having a sweet tooth and all.

Odd. I thought that was more like the cook's duties.

It's my favorite pastime too! I always bake for my roommates. Though it's been a while since I tried a carrot cake recipe...

Carrot cake is best savored in the springtime. I could always give you the recipe if you liked.

I'd love to try it! It'll gimme something to get my mind off Do you think lemon meringue pie is good for the season too? Or is that just too sweet? Maybe something lighter... like a blueberry cheesecake!

Then you are most welcome to come over whenever you like. And personally I would go for the blueberry cheesecake. It is a light and delicate dessert and the berries are already coming into season.

That's true! I may have to bake a lot for the party, so any suggestions and new recipes are more than welcome!

Uh... RIGHT! So you settled in okay? I missed your getting a lodging!

If it's a party you're baking for then I'd be more than happy to assist you. A hostess must only have the best.

Thank you for your concern. I settled in just fine. It was a bit of a mess but the young master's manor was still here in the City.

It's nothing big! Or... at least it's just in number of guests! More like an informal gathering, or a tea party.

I didn't know Ciel had a whole estate right here! Did you manage to find him?

IT JUST MIGHT WORK trulydemonic April 24 2009, 01:37:58 UTC
Nevertheless. The menu always leaves an impression on the guests, and a good one is always desired.

Unfortunately I have not been able to locate the young master, no.

They's over six baking characters or so, I think soulofocean April 24 2009, 01:43:19 UTC
Uh, that's very true...

Aw, I'm sorry... But you're keeping the mansion in shape just in case he gets dragged back here? I'm sure he'll at least have that one thing to be glad about if that happens!

If you need a hand in picking one, I'm always available to offer my opinion.

There is no need to worry. I'm positive the young master will return sooner or later, and when he does, at least the house will be in proper working order by then.

Mind if I drop by for the recipes, then? Since it sounds like you're in for greeting guests already...

Oh I wouldn't wish the City to anyone, really! But if Ciel does turn up he'll sure be glad to find he won't be on his own!

It's a very clique-y thing, baking. trulydemonic April 24 2009, 03:23:03 UTC
You can come over whenever it is convienient for you. I wouldn't mind.

Very glad, I'm sure. My lord really shouldn't be left to his own devices.

I'll be there in a few, then! Thank you! I just need the address.

Mm! He wouldn't be anyway: I hear he made friends the last time he was here.

I'll see you soon then. You'll be able to find the manor if you go left of the Carousel and... [gives directions]

Friends and allies are always a good thing to have. Especially in a strange place like this.
