When it rains, it pours. Well they certainly weren't joking about that. The master's roses are going to get bruised and develop rot at this rate. I suppose that can't be helped but at the very least, I have salvaged a few.
[He sighs a little long-sufferingly, soaked to the bone and carefully arranging an array of sterling roses in an ornate vase.]
Oh, and I know it took a little longer than expected, but the
carrot cake is ready. Though I don't know who is so willing to brave this weather for dessert.
If anyone would like one, you are free to pick them up whenever it suits you. Maybe once the rain has passed. The manor is a bit of a mess but if you would prefer to stay for tea, I'm sure that could also be arranged.
[And with that Sebastian rolls up his damp sleeves and towels water out of his hair, making the careful trek back to the kitchen. It wouldn't do to get water all over the tiles now.]
