(Don't worry.. I will be posting later this week with a "re-write" of the first opening paragraphs of Chapter One, just not right now.)
Well, it has been decided. Our next game will be Deadlands and I am happy to say that my husband will be running it. This is the best news for me as we will also be combining our Sunday gaming group and our Saturday gaming group into one group (minus a few people) on Saturday. I was really having a hard time doing two games a week. I feel like I was the only one with that problem, and maybe I was, but this arrangement makes me happy.
I have been given the option to play my old character from when
hellstorm_inc (my hubby) ran Deadlands before. That character was a Native American Muckraker that worked for the Tombstone Epitaph. It was a good character, I just felt that I wasn't playing her as well as she could have been played.
If I play a new character one of the ideas I have been batting around is a female (no race determained yet) who is a gunslinger tempest. Her deal is that she would have the Veteran of the West flaw because she is a "zombie killer". She will have a small posse (2 others) of NPCs that she goes out with and hunts down zombies. She won't know much else of the what the West can hold other than the zombies she runs into and what she reads in the Epitaph (an excellent source for finding their lairs' (he he he)) Other than that I haven't developed much about her yet, but if I like this idea and want to stick with it there will be more to come.
