The Dream Becoming a Reality!
It appears as though by the end of next week we will be the proud new owners of 2.9 acres in SE Michigan!!! We are just waiting for the sale of our motorcycle to go through to gather the rest of the downpayment and VIOLA! I just cannot wait!
That said, we are hoping to be able to break ground on the house sometime in the spring/early summer next year. We're going with a modular home w/ a basement and will add a sunroom and large veranda later on. We want to keep the payments as low as possible so that we can develop the other 2 acres out back into our hobby farm complete with huge garden, chicken coop, llamas and a possible small stocked fish pond.
I've already been offered a pet goat, so we'll have to build him a house right away too! My sister-in-law's parents are giving me a half pygmy goat named Patrick. He was her sisters 4H project that never left LOL He's about 7 years old, loves human attention. I'm excited to know I will have my very own farm animal pet hehe Might be able to snake a few chicks from them, too ;)
So anyhow, it looks like it's a go, that is if our potential buyer pulls through...
