great weekend...glad to back tho.

I was browsing today on myspace and went to a "friends" page. Looking back and remember things that happened I started to think..."what was I thinking?!?!?!?!" N-E-Way....there are some good memories...and some sad ones. But over all...lesson learned. Glad it's over.

Ok, 'nough 'bout that. On to the condensed version of my weekend. Thursday after work, I went to Karen's house and we packed up my car and left for Park City, Florida. For those that don't know, that's about 10 miles west of Lakeland. Karen and I were both bridesmaids in Ursula's wedding. We get in about 3:30 their time (eastern time zone), so 2:30 our time...not to bad time wise. We made it in about 8 hours, nine since we lost an hour with the change. We check into the hotel and drop into our beds. We were so exhausted. Karen took over driving just before we switched to I-75 from I-10. Not five minutes into her driving, I was out. So, the bed was much more comfy than the car.

Friday morning we drag our butts out of bed about 10...missing the continental breakfast. We have a Bridesmaids luncheon at 1 to be at. So, we take our time getting ready, then meet Brandon and Kelinda in the lobby of the hotel. Brandon is going with Ben and the guys to get their tuxes, and Kelinda is the Matron of Honor, so she's with us. We head over to the apartment for lunch. Thank God...I was so hungry. Then we head to the church. Because the wedding coordinator was horrible, we had to finish setting up the tables for the reception and iron the table clothes. Ridiculous!!!! We leave the church at 4...the rehearsal is at 5!!! So, needless to say, we booked it back to the hotel and we were scrambling to get ready. Well, then Urs called and said the time was pushed back a half hour. Thank God!!!

The rehearsal went so not good. The coordinator lined us up in order of height on the stage....yup, me first...well, after the Matron of Honor and the Maid of Honor. But when she lined us up to walk in, she did it in reverse which would have created a little bit of chaos as we went to our spots. So to make things easier, we re-arranged ourselves (after checking with Urs) and proceeded to continue with the rehearsal. Well, suddenly the coordinator saw what we did and called us all back to do it again because we were lined up already. I was already in my spot on the stage and Karen wasn't far behind me getting to hers. In fact, all the bridesmaids were in the door headed to their spots. She pitched a fit saying we weren't lined up right and all that. Even after we told her that Urs wanted it our way, she still wasn't happy. After we ran thru it once, Ben pulled her aside and let her have it. Well, she started crying then called her husband up to the church. He and Ben had words after the rehearsal was over and everyone was at the rehearsal dinner. It ended with the coordinator saying she wasn't coming to the wedding on Saturday. Which was fine, because her assistant did a much better job than she did. :)

After the dinner, we went back to the hotel. The girls were supposed to go for coffee and icecream, but Urs was so tired, she didn't want to go. So, Karen and I drove the 10 miles to Lakeland to make appoinments at Clinque to get our make up done for the wedding. They have a Macy's!!!! My first time ever in a Macy's!!! Then we went back to the hotel and crashed for the night.

Saturday, we woke up, got our showers and headed to Lakeland for our makeup appointments. Well, the Clinque counter only had one lady scheduled to work all day Saturday. Which meant that if a customer came up while she was doing our makeup, she would have to stop and help them until they left. It sucked so bad. I was first and what should have only taken 1/2 hour to 45 minutes, took an hour. Same with Karen. Now, we had to be at the church at 12. It would have taken 30 minutes to get to the church from Macy's. We made it in 20. We were a little late. But it all worked out. It didn't take me long to do my hair and get in my dress. And, the wedding started about 5 after 2...so, not too bad at all. Everthing flowed smoothly and Urs looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!! And the Reception went great. Over all it was a good time.

Karen and I were going to go back to Macy's to shop after the wedding, but I had a major headache and our feet hurt so bad. So we shopped Sunday before we left. I had so much fun!!!! I love that store. It was only one floor, so one day I will be in the 3-floor Macy's in NY!!!! I got mom and dad a Christmas gift and a cute purse for me. Plus the makeup I bought as my "fee" for having Clinque do my make up for the wedding.

On the way home, we had quite the adventure. I got a little confused on what exit to take in Tampa to get on 75, so I missed the first one...then Karen woke up and told me the wrong exit for our second one that would have taken us to 275 to connect to 75. We ended up crossing the 6 mile bridge headed to St. Petersburg. So, about a 15 minute scenic route. :)

Once back on our correct route, we had a couple scary encounters. A semi almost ran me off the road changing lanes without looking. Then there was the ghetto gas station with the NASTY bathroom. Then the Lucky 13 in the Eglin AFB exit area. Never stop at the Lucky 13 truck stop at night. It's nast and gross and down right scary. :) All in all, a good trip tho. Lots of fun and memories.

Once back in town Sunday night, I had to run to Wal-Mart to get bags for gifts and Eric's gift from Beck (see beck's post for that one). Then I met up with everyone at Rez as it ended. We all headed to Sarah's for our party and gift exchange. Thanks, everyone, for coming. I know we were all so tired, but it wouldn't have been the same if anyone had missed. It was bad enough without Dor there.

I think I got home somewhere around 12 or later. I know I wasn't in bed until about 1. I had to unpack some and find some stuff for this morning. I'm actually not that tired, tho. It'll probably hit me tonight. I'm going to mom and dad's tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to Jason and Monica and their kids and Janene and Carson. They're in town for a funeral for someone on their mom's side of the family....but they all leave tomorrow and I want so bad to see them. I really miss my cousins!!!! I'm about to cry just thinking about not getting to see them. AGH!! Jason and Janene were like the brother and sister I never had. Even though they lived in Naples most of our growing up, I was always closest to them. So, the thought of not getting to see them when their this close....grrrr....I'd be so disappointed!!!! *sniff, sniff*

Well, my lunch break is way over. I love you all.

hugs!
