Heh, yeah, really prophetkristy should have made this post, not me. But she's probably a lot more patient than I am. ;) (seriously though - if you're fic hunting for something rare, and you have to deal with "my 2010 fic" tags... wtf? It's very annoying, if you assume that the writer wants to be read. If the writer just doesn't care about readers such as myself, that's fair enough)

I really like the idea of tagging by story arc. Certainly there are fandoms where this would be hard to do (like Chuck: "daddy fic," "momma fic" or what? :D I guess one could make an argument for "Stanford fic," but I think that's pretty much covered by the Chuck/Bryce tags, since that setting is associated with that genre...). But for BSG, it really would make a lot of sense. I've seen so many people saying they're in the mood for NC fic, or Demetrius fic and so forth.

Fic stickies are such useful thing. But all the tagging and linking is such a bitch if one hasn't done it right from the start. I'm currently facing a similar problem with my thesis - I direly need to reorganize my samples by a different system from before, and soon, otherwise I'll get really confused.
