Dollhouse drabbles

Apr 20, 2009 21:03

Well, that was an interesting experiment. I find that Dollhouse isn't an easy fandom to write for. And I can't write Adelle/Claire at all. Dolls are hard, too. I think I might be a Topher kind of girl, after all... Hope you enjoy!

Characters: Echo/Sierra
Spoilers: none
Rating: teen
Prompt: Echo/Sierra, fire, by _usakeh_

Sierra’s lips on hers feel soft. They make something tingle in Echo’s stomach, and they make her close her eyes to feel them more.

When she looks up again, Sierra is smiling that crooked smile of hers, the one that says she really wants to but she isn’t sure she should.

“Did you feel something, too?” she asks.

Echo’s hand moves to rest on her stomach. Then she looks down. There’s nothing there.

It still tingles... No. Sierra’s word is better. It smolders, somewhere down there.

“Yes,” Echo says. “I like it.”

She wonders how you make it so it burns.

Characters: Victor, Sierra, Echo
Spoilers: none
Rating: teen
Prompt: Echo/Sierra (sorry, didn’t work out), lightning, by _usakeh_

“That’s nice,” Victor says. He’s looking at Sierra’s new drawing. His words are hesitant, like he’s trying the notion on for size. He smiles; she smiles back. “What is it?” he adds.

Sierra crooks her head, shy at first but with a tad of pride that would make Dr. Saunders frown in worry.

“That’s me,” she says, pointing, “and that’s you.” Two stickmen, standing close.

Victor looks at it in thought.

“What’s this?” he asks, more excited now. He’s pointing at a lightning bolt above them in the blue.

“That’s Echo,” Sierra says with confidence.

Victor nods.

It clearly is.

Characters: Paul (Paul/Mellie)
Spoilers: "Echoes"
Rating: teen
Prompt: Paul Ballard, emptying the freezer, by rebelliousrose

Paul remembers a time when he knew his wife had moved out yet again because the fridge got emptier every day, and it didn’t magically refill. When Mellie leaves, he has to admit that the pessimist part of him is sure it’ll be like that again exactly.

But one day, he opens the freezer to hunt for something, anything to eat while working on, and he happens upon a forgotten meal that Mellie gave him weeks ago. It makes him pause.

Rereading an old file while waiting for the microwave, he smiles.

There may be hope for them yet.
